Maybe because Loki is a psychopathic individual who has not only tried to murder his entire family (and succeeded in murdering one of them), but also destroyed New York City, ending the lives of many innocent civilians, and has not felt any remorse for his actions. I don’t hate Loki, I like his character and I think he’s a very affective villain, but justifying his actions and just letting him off the hook for everything because “OM G HI S STOR Y I S SOOO SA D HI S DADDY nEVER lOVED hIM.” Loki is not some sob story to cry over, yes I believe he can be saved and can redeem his horrible actions because of his very very forgiving brother. But with the way he’s going now (especially in the ending of Thor 2 by killing his own father who put him in prison for attempted genocide and yes I know Odin should have treated Loki better, but that does not justify his son becoming a ruthless killer) is not helping his cause. It just shows that all Loki craves is power and is not worth saving. The worst part is that Thor 2 was such a fitting end for him. He had finally achieved redemption in a sense and saved his brother showing that there was something he cared for in his heart “I didn’t do it for him”, but NOPE power is all he ever wanted and he doesn’t give two shits about Thor!
AND Bucky Barnes is a man forced into becoming a tool for a cause he does not support in any way. He is stripped of all mortality against his will and feels major remorse for his actions even when they were not technically his fault. He did not do any of these horrible things because of his man pain -cough- loki -cough- he did them because he had no other choice.
WHY AM I EVEN EXPLAINING THIS IT SHOULD BE OBVIOUS?!
